🌱 This project grew from a dream and thrives thanks to hard work and hope!
It began in 2023, driven by a desire to pursue a dream and live a peaceful life in harmony with nature. Our goal was to learn about the essence of life and the natural world. As a clinical nurse and a programmer-analyst by profession, we started with nothing and learned everything along the way.
We make a great team in both life and business: one of us manages operations, animal and plant care, marketing, sales, and more; the other takes care of machinery and building maintenance, haymaking, and technology.
It all started on a small scale, but our hunger for learning led us to expand this dream into a larger-scale project. One of our deepest motivations was to share our profound love for animals—because we truly believe they have a powerful, positive impact on people’s health and mood!
We look forward to welcoming you to our farm!

Haskap berry picking

WHAT?
Haskap berries are a small early-season fruit excellent for health AND excellent in taste! It's known as the longevity fruit, because it's very rich in antioxidants, vitamins and fiber. It looks like a juicy blueberry of a funny shape, but the taste is different and rich. It's excellent to eat freshly picked or as processed products. We love it in jam or smoothies, in muffins, cakes or crepes.
Our production is natural, with NO chemicals.
A nature trail of approximately 1.5 km is also available for you after your booked activity. Take a walk to enjoy the fresh air and admire the magnificent landscape with an exceptional panoramic view. In winter, feel free to bring your snowshoes. You can also picnic with your lunch on site and stop by our welcoming farm shop.
WHEN?
As soon as the fruits are ripe, from mid-June to mid-July.

HOW?
Come discover haskap berries at CaJoler and pick them yourself from the bushes. You will experience a rejuvenating and soothing activity, with a breathtaking landscape. These early fruits are ready at the beginning of the summer season. What better way to start a beautiful summer?! 😎
You are encouraged to bring your own reusable containers, but we will have reusable containers available for sale if needed.
Price based on quantity for fruits picked during self-serve, with a minimum purchase of $5 per adult.

Chickens adoptions
Come choose from our unique hybrid fancy chickens, always more beautiful and surprising! 🐔
We are convinced of the added value of our mixed family breeding method, both for you and for our hens. For the skeptics, here are some advantages:
You adopt healthy pets that have been raised in love and respect at the heart of a small family farm. We give top priority to the hygiene of the coop, in addition to providing them with an annual vaccination. We have a sustainable breeding solution, closer to what nature intended, without any mass production or industrialization, which allows our animals to have a good quality of life. The cycle allows us to offer a long life to our breeding hens. Nothing is wasted. The male offspring are consumed and the females are available for adoption. Our breeding hens can benefit from the physical and psychological benefits of outdoor outings. Our animals have a better immune system, being in contact with the outside world and its pathogens, which helps them prepare better for their life outside the farm. Then, genetic crosses between breeds allow us to obtain more robust hens, diversifying the genetic heritage to limit hereditary defects of pure breeds. The hybrid hens obtained are unique, always different and colorful! No one will be able to say they have a hen identical to yours! We have one for every taste and every color : small, large, eccentric, bearded, curly, styled, etc. The color and shape of the egg will be revealed as a beautiful surprise! We obtain eggs with very varied appearances (large, small, blue, green, pink, beige, brown, speckled, etc.), which are fun and all as delicious. It is possible that our hybrid hens lay less consistently throughout the year than popular red hens, but they have the advantage of laying longer and living more years.
As chicken enthusiasts, we will be happy to answer your questions if you are not yet convinced!
$50 per hen, with a female guarantee.
